A Little Night Music: Open-air classical concert in the heart of Victoria

A Little Night Music – an open-air classical concert, is taking place this month right in the heart of Victoria – the evocative Hâra d-Dejqa (Narrow Street) will be the venue for a perfect summer’s evening musical experience.

The concert will feature a string ensemble led by Marcelline Agius, under the direction of Gozitan conductor Colin Attard.

The chosen repertoire is very entertaining and also rather appropriate for the open-air surroundings.

Among the classical works being performed will be two of the most loved serenades, Mozart´s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and Elgar´s Serenade for Strings. Works by local composers Joseph Vella, Carmelo Pace and up-and-coming Pierre Louis Attard will also be presented.

A Little Night Music is being performed next Saturday, the 25th of August, starting at 8;00pm. It is presented by the Gozo Cultural Council and entrance is free of charge.

In case of inclement weather, the concert will be held at the Ministry for Gozo Hall.
