The Ministry for Gozo is launching a call for artists, cultural organisations, societies and NGOs, to submit their expressions of interest to be considered for Gozo public events that the Ministry has planned for the coming year.
The Minister for Gozo Justyne Caruana explained that this call is intended to serve as a platform where local artists can showcase their various talents.
Dr Caruana said that the Ministry has prepared a vast cultural calendar and so this call will open a number of opportunities for those interested participants.
These include: Gozo Alive, Artisans’ Fair, Science in The Citadel Summer Events, Honey Festival Mother’s Day, Opera is Gozo, and other thematic festivals
She went on to say that “Gozo is becoming more and more synonymous with quality cultural activities throughout the year,” and therefore the Ministry needs to have a large selection of artists to choose from as the number of these activities continues to rise.
Justyne Caruana concluded by stating that these cultural activities, which are being spread all around Gozo, “are meeting their expectations, and that is why the government continues to invest strongly.”
The Ministry said that though the call they would also like to hear any great ideas which are “waiting to become fantastic projects.”
“If these fit within our artistic vision, we will be setting up meetings to listen to your concepts and work hand in hand to develop them,” the Ministry said.
The application is available online by clicking here and the closing date is Thursday, the 28th of February.
