Dr Michael Briguglio, an MEP Candidate, for the Nationalist Party – has appealed for “proper consultation and comprehensive studies on the Gozo-Malta Tunnel.”
“Malta cannot afford rash politics and lack of planning as these can have unintended and irreversible social, environmental and economic consequences,” he said.
“On the other hand, we need to address mobility challenges experienced by Gozitan workers and students,” added Dr Briguglio.
He concluded by saying that, “for this reason, I am supporting the calls by experts and civil society for proper consultation, evidence and holistic studies on the tunnel proposal. I also reiterate the need for a fourth ferry and improved services for persons.”
