As part of the programme of festivities for the Feast of Santa Marija in Victoria – il-Wirja ta’ Santa Marija – the traditional agricultural and industrial exhibition will be held in the Villa Rundle Gardens.
Organised by the Agrarian, Industrial and Cultural Society of Gozo, the show has been taking place in Gozo since 1855 and is a major attraction during the feast.
More than 4,000 exhibits will be on show to the public, including produce, livestock, poultry, vegetables and song birds and farm machinery.
The best of Gozo’s artisan work and crafts, produce, locally produced wines, oil and honey are showcased during the exhibition.
It is a 2-day event suitable for all ages and all tastes, with family entertainment related to traditional folklore on Tuesday evening, the 14th of August.
On Tuesday morning the awards ceremony takes place with the presentation of trophies and cash prizes to the best exhibit in each of the categories.
The exhibition is open on Tuesday 7.00am – 11.00pm and Wednesday 6.45am – 1.00pm.
