Following the success of last year’s actives around the theme of Valentine’s Day in Gozo, the Ministry for Gozo said that this year it is presenting a larger and more ambitious programme related to Valentine’s.
The Minister for Gozo Justyne Caruana said that the programme is filled with innovative activities aimed at making Gozo the destination to visit for this Feast of Love – #Inhobbok
The Minister said that one of the main events will be a Drive-In Movie Night on the 9th of February, and a concert in Independence Square, featuring Ivan Grech and other Gozitan artists, on the 16th of February.
Among other activities the Ministry for Gozo has organised with the theme of love, there are several activities around the streets and at the Villa Rundle Gardens, as well as art exhibitions at the Citadel.
So visit Gozo during Valentine’s and take the opportunity to enjoy, culture, entertainment, local food, and of course spend time with the one you love.
Dr Caruana said that these thematic holidays are achieving the desired results “as statistics issued by the National Statistics Office show that more people are increasingly choosing to spend their quality time in Gozo.
The Minister concluded by saying that the island is fast becoming an all year round holiday destination, thereby creating economic activity which is enjoyed by Gozo and Gozitans.
