The Magi have started on their journey to Gozo and Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem, for the Adoration of the Magi on Sunday, to close this 10th edition of the Nativity Village.
The Three Wise Men left from Manger Square in Bethlehem, Palestine, on a journey through the desert. They are making their voyage with a delegation from Ghajnsielem.
On Saturday they will be in Valletta, Hamrun and Mosta for events in aid of the Community Chest Fund.
Caspar, Melchior and Balthazar will then start their journey on Sunday, the 6th of January, Feast of the Epiphany, from Mosta at 7.30am, with a short reenactment when they reach Mellieha main square.
The Three Kings will board the ferry to Gozo, for the Adoration of the Magi, the final chapter in the story of the Nativity, when the Three Wise Men will make a triumphal entrance at the nativity village, stopping at the grotto to present gifts to baby Jesus.
This will bring to a close the 10th edition of Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem, which once again attracted thousands of visitors to view the activity village. The Nativity Village will be open between 2.00pm and 8.00pm.
