An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen in a hold-up on a shop in Cospicua on Friday afternoon, the police said on Saturday.
The hold-up took place in Santa Tereza Street at 6.30pm.
A man armed with a knife entered the shop and demanded money from the cashier, a 30-year-old woman resident of Gzira.
He then made off with the cash. The police did not say whether the man escaped on foot or in a vehicle.
Magistrate Aaron Bugeja is leading an inquiry.
