Videos have emerged on social media of the Graffiti vandal who went around tagging cars and private property in Sliema last night.

The video shows a young individual who attempts to cover his face with his t-shirt before tagging the side of a Fruit and Vegetable store.

The video emerged in light of reports earlier today of Sliema resident’s waking up to find their car and private property vandalised with graffiti.

The incident happened at some point last night on Isouard Street in Sliema resulting in a couple of cars and walls graffitied in what can’t be described as anything other than a senseless act of vandalism.

“The Local Council deplores the acts of vandalism on private properties and vehicles of Sliema residents. We would like our residents to note that these acts have been immediately reported to the police for further investigation,” the Sliema Local Council said in a Facebook post.

These aren’t isolated incidents as this type of graffiti has cropped up in Sliema before.

It seems like this has become an ongoing problem in Sliema and now we have some indication on who might have done it.

The Local Council has pleaded to the police for heightened security and increased patrolling during the night in order to prevent these acts of vandalism in the future.

“The Council appeals to the Police to increase patrols around our streets so that such acts won’t happen again.”

Reports have already been filed to the police.
