Three more people have died while positive for Covid-19 as the death count for the virus in Malta has now risen to 128 people.
One of the three – a 70-year-old man – died last night. He was confirmed as positive for Covid-19 on 16 November, and passed away at the St. Vincent de Paul residence.
The other two – a 73-year-old woman and an 80-year-old man – died earlier today at Mater Dei Hospital. They tested positive for the virus on 1 November and 6 November respectively.
The Health minister expressed his condolences to the families and appealed for everyone to follow the Covid-19 guidelines.
With these deaths, the number of people to have died with the virus has now risen from 125 to 128 – 31 women, 97 men.
Malta now has 2,112 active cases of the virus, after 152 new cases were reported on Thursday.
