Three men have been arrested in connection with a shocking case of arson in Żabbar as a Maltese family watch and plead with them not to do it.
The intimidating incident was caught on camera by a member of the family as one the men say he is doing it because the family have “no respect”. The men pour petrol on the car as a boy shouts at them to stop and another man calls the police from a balcony.
A woman exits their house to speak to the men just before they light the car on fire and it bursts into flames.

Another woman screams for her mother to get back inside.
The attack happened last Sunday at 2:45 pm in Triq id-Dejqa, Żabbar, police have confirmed.
The car, a Kia Picanto, can be seen burning in the video as the family react in shock to what they’ve just seen. An image being circulated on social media show the remains of the car as some people say the argument is believed to have stemmed from an issue over a parking spot.
A 17-year-old man and an 18-year-old man as well as a 54-year-old man from Marsaskala have been held in connection with the attack, with reports saying that one of them is confirmed to have set the car on fire.
